West Texas Eye Associates was founded in July of 1998, by Dr. Timothy T. Khater, MD, PhD.  The clinical facilities are located near the corner of 82nd Street and SlideThe first floor entry is wheelchair accessible, and handicap facilities are available throughout West Texas Eye AssociatesAmple parking is available in the parking lot.  The equipment is state-of-the-art, and the staff is friendly and courteous.

Dr. Khater is an ophthalmologist, which is a physician (MD) trained in the treatment and surgery of eye diseases.  Additionally, he specializes in the treatment of corneal problems, cataracts, and refractive errors (such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism).  He obtained his medical degree at Northwestern University, in Chicago, IllinoisHe then completed his ophthalmology training and specialty training at the Baylor College of Medicine, where he trained under Drs. Dan B. Jones, Douglas D. Koch, Alice Y. Matoba, and Kirk R. Wilhelmus, some of the world's most renowned experts in cornea, external disease, cataract, and refractive surgery.
